Multiwell correlation panels and chronostratigraphic diagrams can be created. Fossil occurrence data and geological interpretations can be plotted on multi-coloured charts in a format and style of your choice alongside other data types such as wireline logs, isotopic ages, trace element distributions, etc.

In addition to the standard dictionaries of geological terms provided, you may set up your own for each type of data. StrataBugs is, therefore, particularly suitable for managing data from external sources where taxonomic identifications and conventions may vary.

StrataBugs has a unique taxonomic database, which can be used to add new taxon names and to identify synonyms. Individual taxa can be recorded using scrolled lists, a touch sensitive keyboard and the more familiar QWERTY keyboard. What is StrataBugs? StrataBugs is a biostratigraphic database system, which enables you to record the occurrence of fossils and other geological data in wells and outcrop samples.
